Wildfires are spreading over larger areas, burning for longer and drawing closer to homes, according to analysis of this year’s fires by Sky News’ Data and Forensics team. The Fire Brigades Union told Sky News that recent investment in firefighting resources was “a drop in the ocean” compared with what is needed to deal with growing threats from wildfires.
